Week Twelve

This week we...

...attended a Veteran's Day assembly on Monday. Each student in the whole school received a red, white or blue balloon and we all let them go into the sky at the same time. It was so neat to watch them all float up together!

these kids look ready for a recess... :)

...finished up our unit on problem solving with our problem thermometers. We practiced this week with our own problems, drawing pictures of them and figuring out how big our problems were and what we could do the solve them appropriately. The kids took their personalized thermometers home with them, so look for those and take a couple minutes to quiz them at home. This could be really useful for helping them work through problems in all settings.

...finished up our Utah animal posters and began practicing how we will present them. We hope to give them time to present these next week! (Look for pictures of these presentations next Friday.)

...practiced rhythms and drum beats on our own homemade drums in music.

...continued practice with emotions and role playing in drama.
